Description:
The syllabus for this course is the same as that for Sixth Form Certificate physics. The starting level is fifth form physics. The course is written in 11 assignments with two assignments on units and measurement, two on heat energy, three on light, two on electricity, one on magnetic fields and one on electromagetism and atomic structure.

Assessment is by assignments (70%) and laboratory course (30%).

Prerequisite(s): 1013 Physics or equivalent. This can be waived for mature students with a suitable background.

Students must attend a laboratory course at the Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Heretaunga.
